Otherwise, why in the world would I be casting on a wool sweater?
That's the "fancy rib" stitch, and let me tell you, it is a PITA to knit. It should be worth it though, I've wanted to knit this sweater for years.

It's a great sweater pattern but you might be a bit crazy to start it in August.
I think it'll be gorgeous in that color, and you'll be all set when it cools down.
